By the time the meeting happened, approval by Food Fair Realty was granted.

Article about wood trim on mall store entrances
Article date March 16, 1984 (Friday)
Claims Mohawk Mall was built in 1968 (planning began that year but ground was broken in 1969). Store fronts that have not changed since the requirement was put in place still had wood trim at that point. (Note: A wall of the Bradlees store facing the mall interior continued to have wood right up to demolition. No store ever occupied that space after Bradlees left in 1996. The mall still had wood beams on the ceilings painted white up to the end.)
